REX., Lilie am Anfang der Legende, Hüftbild des Königs nach rechts, er hält Reichsapfel und Szepter in den Händen. Rs: . FACIAM . EOS . IN . GENTEM . VNAM ., bekröntes Wappen mit I - R (JacobvsRex) zu den Seiten, im 2. und im 3. Feld erscheinen nun der schottische Löwe und die irische Harfe. Seaby 2618, North 2083, Fb. 234. 9,38g. Sehr schön.
Die Vorderseitenumschrift ist ein Zitat aus der Prophezeihung des Propheten Ezekiel und ist in diesem Zusammenhang eine Anspielung auf den hist. Hintergrund, dass James die beiden Throne von England und Schottland vereinigt hatte.
